CMSC 2016 Annual Meeting – Clay Walker’s concert at the CMSC 30th anniversary celebration

CMSC 2016 Annual Meeting – Clay Walker’s concert at the CMSC 30th anniversary celebration

Clay Walker is a very well know name and face, not only because of his music career but also for being a very eager advocate for multiple sclerosis (since he is also an MS patient). Walker was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1996, after experiencing numbness, facial spasms, and double vision while playing basketball with a friend. An MRI revealed that Walker had MS and the news was life-changing for the singer. Since then, the country star has been fighting the disease and become one of the most well-known and active MS advocates.

His commitment to the cause awarded him with the CMSC Advocacy Champion Award, which he received June 2nd at the CMSC 30th Anniversary Celebration, where he also performed for all the CMSC16 atendees. The concert was incredible, and Clay Walker knows how to work his audience. The Multiple Sclerosis News Today team were there to capture the moment.

This year, Multiple Sclerosis News Today is offering expanded coverage of the June 1-4 Annual Meeting of the CMSC. Our five-person news team will continue to publish feature articles on the presentations, exclusive video interviews from the convention floor with leading MS researchers and professionals, live social media coverage and live streaming.

You can follow the action live on social media with both the #CMSC16 and #msnewstoday hashtags or here.
